New RSM for theSouthwest at Metcal
CYPRESS, CA ― August2016 ― Metcal today announced that it has hired a new Regional SalesManager for the Southwest. Gabriel Ortiz will manage Arizona, New Mexico,Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mexico and South America.
Ortizbrings more than 20 years of experience servicing the electronics manufacturingindustry, with a unique touch in that he has successfully lead teams in boththe manufacturing and distribution environments to develop his business. He isa seasoned professional with a proven track record in developing and motivatingteams to grow sales in the most demanding of markets.
In this role, Ortizwill be responsible for working with electronics manufacturers, including theirdesign and manufacturing engineers and operators to improve efficiency and throughputwith the optimized use of handsoldering and convectionrework tools, and to improve health and safety through the use of fumeextraction technology. Ortiz will also work with Metcal’s strongelectronics manufacturer rep and distribution networks.
